Katherine Lopez Capellan brings a unique combination of legal, litigation, and client-focused experience to her practice.
Experience
Prior to earning her law degree, Katherine developed substantial experience supporting attorneys in complex litigation matters. She previously worked at an AmLaw 100 firm, where she supported a national litigation practice and collaborated with attorneys on strategic client initiatives, business development, and client service. Earlier in her career, she worked as an in-house paralegal for a national insurance company, where she managed a significant litigation caseload and assisted attorneys with discovery, motion practice, depositions, settlement matters, and trial preparation.
Background
Katherine earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center. While in law school, she participated in the Innocence Investigations Clinic, where she investigated claims of actual innocence and assisted with post-conviction matters.
She also holds a Master of Science in International Communication and a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies with a minor in Spanish from St. John’s University.
